Broadway House Women’s Shelter serves 165 adult single women in temporary emergency housing in a shared-room dormitory setting. Many services, as well as meals, are provided on-site. Co-lead a storytelling class (a 50+ weeklong tradition at the shelter by now!), or contact ministry servant-leaders to discuss matching your interests (yoga, guitar, songwriting, arts and crafts, etc.) with interests of women at the shelter. Creative classes offer residents rejuvenation, increased self-worth, and new problem-solving skills to help these women secure independent housing, employment, and more nurturing, fulfilling friendships. All are welcome to serve. Contact Kendall Seely to sign up.
